Aircon Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing all hospital HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure smooth operations, prevent downtime, and extend equipment lifespan.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES1. Maintenance & Operations

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment, including AHUs, PAHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, VRFs, split-type units, ACCUs, and exhaust/pressurization fans.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, and airflow controls for critical areas (negative/positive pressure rooms and isolation units).
• Respond promptly to service calls, complete repairs on schedule, and ensure maximum operating efficiency.

2. System Optimization & Safety

• Propose energy-saving measures, plan modifications, and system replacements for older installations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and oversee relevant third-party technical work to ensure compliance with standards.

3. Administrative & Coordination

• Record service activities, log equipment performance data, and maintain technical history files (specs, service reports, calibrations).
• Participate in regular team coordination meetings and update records.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports To: Shift Engineer / Operation Engineer / Engineering Manager / Assistant Facility Director / Facility Director

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Graduate of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HVAC/refrigeration maintenance, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Key Skills: Operation & maintenance of VRFs, air/water-cooled chillers, welding, and electronics/controls.
• Tools Used: Vacuum pumps, copper tube cutters, temperature/pressure gauges, multi-testers, and welding machines (Gas/Arc).
• Core Competencies: Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Pay: Php13,437.50 - Php18,000.00 per month
