Aircon Technician

The Aircon Technician is responsible for keeping the organization's stores, offices, facilities, equipment, and fixtures in safe, functional, and good aesthetic condition.

Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections of air conditioning units and cold storage equipment to identify potential issues
• Perform regular checks and maintenance of air conditioning units and cold storage systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance and basic servicing of air conditioning units and cold storage equipment as required
• Maintain accurate records of completed preventive maintenance and report recurring or major concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Recommend corrective actions when potential equipment issues are identified

Troubleshooting & Repair

• Respond promptly to air conditioning/cold storage maintenance concerns, including emergencies
• Diagnose and perform repairs for air conditioning concerns within established technical capabilities
• Troubleshoot and address issues involving store air conditioning units and cold storage equipment
• Conduct post-repair checks to ensure units are safe and operational
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized aircon/refrigeration work as instructed

Asset Management & Upkeep

• Maintain the aesthetic, cleanliness, and functionality of air conditioning and cold storage equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to identify damaged or deteriorating cooling assets
• Perform air conditioning maintenance and repairs at Headquarters
• Maintain proper records of repairs and recurring equipment issues
• Properly use, maintain, and store aircon tools, spare parts, and materials
• Report damaged, missing, or defective aircon tools/equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

• At least College level or equivalent with a vocational/technical certificate
• 1-2 years of experience as an Aircon Technician or related field
• Knowledge of general HVAC/cold storage maintenance processes and methods
• Computer literate
