Aircraft Instrumentation Design Engineer

Pay: 80/hr. on W2

Active Secret clearance is Required to start.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support aircraft flight-test instrumentation and advanced development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and draft mechanical drawings for C-130 aircraft and flight-test instrumentation systems.
• Develop part designs, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CATIA V5.
• Create and modify 2D drawings using CADAM/CCD or similar drafting software.
• Support aircraft data acquisition systems and instrumentation installation.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, systems engineers, technicians, and mechanics on design, fabrication, and integration.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of CATIA V5 experience in part design, assembly design, and drafting.
• 5+ years of experience with CADAM/CCD or other 2D drafting software.
• 3+ years of aircraft test instrumentation experience, including strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers, or pressure transducers.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C-130 or other aircraft structural design.
• Machine shop or fabrication experience.
• Experience with CAD Datanet.
