What they need

About the role:

We're looking for multiple experienced B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with a strong understanding of avionic digital systems and practical rotary-wing maintenance experience to step into the role of Instructor - Delivery and Assessment in Townsville on a full-time basis.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to train and inspire the next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers, including those working on the AH-64E Apache helicopters. You’ll independently lead theory and practical instruction within your trade stream while providing exceptional support to students and stakeholders.

While previous training or mentoring experience will be highly regarded, it’s not essential – just bring your technical knowledge, growth mindset, and passion for aviation.

Is this role for you?

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated practical rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of avionic digital systems and components.
  • A Certificate IV or Diploma in Aeroskills (Avionics), or equivalent avionics trade qualification.
  • A current CASA or DASR B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence is preferred; however, suitably qualified unlicensed avionics engineers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Willingness to learn, grow and obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a small, close-knit team.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and strong organisation skills.
  • Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for aviation.

What we can offer you:

  • A diverse and rewarding position where you will offer key support to our students, staff and stakeholders.
  • An environment that supports a high performance, supportive and inclusive culture.
  • Flexible work arrangements.
  • A Health and Wellbeing program including access to two days flexible leave per year and access to our Employee Assistance Program to support you and your family.
  • Corporate discount with a private health fund.
  • Salary sacrificing for superannuation and novated car leases.
  • Professional development opportunities.
