Avcraft Engineering NZ Ltd is growing, and we’re on the hunt for experienced, talented, hands-on Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team.

At Avcraft, you could be working on a Cirrus one day, a Pilatus the next, an Air Tractor, a Jetstream, a vintage warbird or even a jet.

🔧 We’re Looking for Someone Who…

Is practical, switched on and loves getting stuck into a challenge.

Someone who doesn't just stand around waiting for instructions. You notice things. You think ahead. You solve problems. You take pride in doing a job properly — because “that’ll do” just isn't good enough.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong mechanical skills and a genuine love of engineering
• A sharp eye for detail
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset
• The ability to think on your feet and solve problems
• Pride in producing high-quality work
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy, deadline-driven environment
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A strong understanding of the importance of accurate maintenance records and documentation

🛠️ What Will You Be Doing?

You'll be right in the middle of the action, working alongside a great team on a huge variety of aircraft maintenance work.

Your days could involve:

• Scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Repairs, modifications and component changes
• Digging into aircraft records and solving maintenance mysteries
• Ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards
• Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring compliance with CAA NZ Rules
• Keeping tools, equipment and the workshop in top shape

Our hangar sees everything from:

• Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft & American Champion
• Cirrus SR20 & SR22
• Pilatus PC-12 & PC-24
• British Aerospace Jetstream 31 & 32
• Air Tractor AT-402 through to AT-602
• Piston, turbine and jet aircraft
• Vintage aircraft, radial engines and warbirds
