Job Title: Airfield Crew

Reports to: Airport Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly Position consists of 40 hour work week with ability to work shifts, overtime, weekend and holidays.

SUMMARY

Alpena County Regional Airport is seeking a dependable, hands-on Airfield Crew Member to assist with the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of airport facilities, grounds,

equipment, and infrastructure.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of airport buildings and grounds.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal and mowing.
• Inspect facilities and equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly airport environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to recognize and effectively report on operational conditions and problems.
• Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, equipment, safety and techniques used in facility and grounds maintenance.
• Skill in operation of facility and grounds equipment, inspection of machinery and equipment to detect flaws and defects in operation.
• General maintenance and repair skills preferred.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and perform physical labor.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditionss.
• Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and comply with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, guidelines, and airport procedures.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with county employees and the general public.
• Must present neat and orderly appearance in conformance with County policy.
• Must be available to work overtime, shifts, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid Michigan driver’s license is required and must be maintained in conformance with County driving and insurance standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
