Airfreight Import Operations Executive [SL]

Oversee daily airfreight import shipments from arrival through customs clearance, delivery, billing, and final shipment closure.

Maintain effective communication with customers by providing shipment updates, addressing enquiries, and coordinating solutions to operational challenges.

Liaise with airlines, handling agents, transport providers, customs authorities, and internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate shipment processing.

Track shipment milestones and service performance to meet agreed customer commitments, operational KPIs, and internal service standards.

Take ownership of escalated, time-sensitive, or high-value shipments and coordinate the resolution of delays, documentation issues, and clearance-related matters.

Review existing workflows and recommend practical improvements to minimise errors, reduce delays, and improve customer experience.

Ensure shipment files, billing records, operational reports, and relevant compliance documents are properly maintained.

Assist in coaching junior customer service personnel on airfreight import workflows, documentation accuracy, and customer handling procedures.

Communicate significant operational risks and unresolved customer issues to management and monitor subsequent actions through to resolution.
