Airfreight Import/Export Specialist

Location: Hallbergmoos, Germany

Salary: Up to €65,000 per annum

I'm working with a global freight forwarder looking to appoint an experienced Airfreight Import/Export Specialist to join their Hallbergmoos office.

This is an opportunity for someone confident managing both airfreight imports and exports from A–Z, taking ownership of shipments and delivering a high standard of service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full airfreight import and export process, from initial booking through to final delivery and invoicing.
• Coordinate with airlines, overseas offices, handling agents and transport providers.
• Prepare and check shipping documentation, including air waybills.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure shipment documentation is accurate and complete.
• Handle dangerous goods shipments in line with applicable DGR requirements.
• Keep customers updated on shipment progress and resolve operational issues.
• Monitor shipment costs, supplier charges and invoicing.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 3 years’ experience in airfreight operations within freight forwarding.
• Proven ability to handle both imports and exports independently, covering the full A–Z process.
• Valid DGR certification.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and international colleagues.
