Airport Shuttle Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shuttle Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience for all riders. This role requires a keen understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the shuttle van while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their comfort during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
• Shift start as early as 4am, weekends as needed.
• Assist with paratransit services as needed, ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive appropriate support during their journey.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules, routes, and passenger needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of local traffic patterns and routes to optimize travel times while ensuring safety.
• Van will be used for the local community as well as transportation to and from Logan Airport drop off and pickup locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for bus driving or shuttle driving.
• Previous experience in driving roles such as delivery driver, school bus driver, or paratransit driver is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles.
• Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
• Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse passenger needs professionally.
• Experience operating various types of vehicles including buses, motor coaches, or limousines is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
