Role: AIX Administrator

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in IBM AIX Administration
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers
• Experience with LPAR, VIOS, NIM, and PowerVM
• User administration, file systems, volume groups, and logical volumes
• Performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity management
• Patch management, OS upgrades, and system migrations
• Knowledge of PowerHA (HACMP) clustering
• Shell scripting and automation
• Troubleshooting OS, hardware, and performance-related issues
• Experience with server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Good understanding of SAN Storage and connectivity
• Exposure to Linux administration is an added advantage

Preferred Skills

• PowerHA / HACMP Administration
• Ansible or Automation Tools
• IBM Power Systems Administration
• ITIL Process Knowledge
• Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM AIX production environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Manage LPARs, VIOS, NIM, and PowerVM infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents within SLA.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
• Support change, incident, and problem management processes.
• Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams.
