Alarm Response Officer

We are recruiting reliable, self-employed Alarm Response Officers to attend vacant properties in Edinburgh and Glasgow on a fixed weekly schedule.

You will attend each assigned vacant site twice per week — every Wednesday and Saturday — to conduct a physical inspection, record electricity meter readings, complete the required inspection form, and return it to the company after every visit.

This is a long-term, recurring role suited to someone who lives locally.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend each assigned vacant site on every Wednesday and Saturday, on time and without reminders.
• Carry out a full visual inspection of the site: confirm the property is secure, check that alarms are functioning, and report any signs of forced entry, vandalism, water ingress, or unauthorised occupation.
• Locate and record electricity meter readings at each visit, accurately and legibly.
• Complete the company's inspection form in full at every visit.
• Submit the completed form back to the company after each visit, within the required timeframe.

Requirements

• Must live in or near Edinburgh or Glasgow and be able to travel to assigned sites reliably.
• Available every Wednesday and Saturday — this is a fixed, non-negotiable schedule.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle preferred.
