We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alarm Technician/Helper to join our dynamic security installation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in low-voltage systems and security technology while contributing to the safety and protection of our clients’ properties. As an Alarm Technician/Helper, you will assist experienced technicians in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of security systems, including alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, sensors, fire alarms, and access control. This position is ideal for individuals eager to learn, grow their technical expertise, and quickly rise within the company with their experience.

Responsibilities

• Support senior technicians in the installation and servicing of security systems such as burglar alarms, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and access control.
• Assist with wiring and cabling tasks involving low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Help interpret schematics and technical diagrams related to system design and layout.
• Conduct routine inspections of alarm systems, sensors, CCTV equipment, and other security hardware to verify proper operation.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to install equipment on construction sites or within existing structures.
• Support the testing of alarm systems for functionality and compliance with safety standards.

Experience

• Prior experience as a service technician or helper in security system installation or maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn.
• Basic electrical experience or familiarity with low voltage wiring is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools (such as drills and saws), schematics reading, and construction environments is helpful.

Required for Technician/Helper

• Possession and knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle. (Pick-up Truck preferred but not required)
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Liability insurance for herself or himself. (If you do not have Liability Insurance, Reinhold Security, LLC will help you obtain it.)

This is a subcontractor position to start.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
