Alteration Tailor Dressmaker

As an Alteration Tailor Dressmaker (temp) at Printemps New York, you will provide exceptional alteration and dressmaking services to ensure that our customers’ garments fit perfectly and meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored clothing that enhances their style and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality alterations on a wide range of garments, including suits, dresses, trousers, and outerwear, ensuring the perfect fit for each client.
• Work with fabrics of various types and qualities, employing advanced sewing and tailoring techniques to modify clothing according to client specifications.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their preferences, taking accurate measurements and making detailed adjustments.
• Provide custom dressmaking services, from creating one-of-a-kind designs to altering existing garments for a flawless look.
• Maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship, including precision stitching, finishing, and attention to detail in all alterations and custom designs.
• Ensure that all alterations are completed within the agreed-upon timelines and with attention to the client’s expectations.
• Keep up with the latest trends in fashion and tailoring to offer advice and recommendations to clients for their wardrobe needs.
• Work closely with the management team to meet customer expectations and maintain high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a tailor, dressmaker, with a strong background in alterations and custom garment creation.
• Experience in luxury retail
• Expertise in using sewing machines, hand stitching, and other tailoring tools.
• Knowledge of a wide range of fabrics, garment construction techniques, and tailoring methods.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally
