Alteryx Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Alteryx Developer with strong knowledge of Alteryx Designer, SQL, ETL processes, and data preparation. The ideal candidate should be capable of developing and maintaining automated workflows, integrating data from multiple sources, and creating reports and dashboards using Tableau.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL and data-preparation workflows using Alteryx Designer.
• Extract and integrate data from SQL Server, IBM DB2, MySQL, flat files, APIs, and other sources.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, validation, sampling, and standardization.
• Use Alteryx tools such as Transpose, Cross Tab, and reporting tools to prepare data and format outputs.
• Develop reusable Alteryx macros and automate repetitive data-processing tasks.
• Schedule, monitor, and manage workflows using Alteryx Server and Alteryx Scheduler, where applicable.
• Create and maintain reports and interactive dashboards using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, Tableau Cloud, or Tableau Server.
• Develop KPI reports covering sales, inventory, returns, actual-versus-budget performance, target comparisons, YTD performance, and monthly trends.
• Write SQL queries to retrieve, reconcile, and validate data for analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver reliable datasets and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot workflow and data issues, document processes, and ensure timely delivery of automated reports.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and workflow development.
• Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including MS SQL Server and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data cleansing, transformation, and data validation.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop and/or Tableau Prep for reporting and visualization.
• Knowledge of workflow scheduling and automation; Alteryx Server experience is an advantage.
• Basic Python knowledge for scripting and data extraction is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing reusable Alteryx macros.
• Exposure to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.
• Experience integrating data from multiple databases, files, and APIs.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
