AM / DM - Front Axle (Production)

Purpose of the Role

To manage Front Axle production operations and ensure achievement of production, quality, safety and productivity targets through effective manpower, process and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities-

• Manage day-to-day Front Axle production as per production plans and schedules.
• Ensure adherence to process parameters, quality standards and SOPs.
• Monitor and improve productivity, OEE and line efficiency.
• Handle production processes such as axle assembly, component fitment, torque tightening, inspection and testing.
• Ensure first-time-right production and minimize rejection, rework and line stoppages.
• Monitor manpower deployment, line balancing and shift-wise production.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
• Analyse production losses and implement Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop-floor discipline.
• Monitor and control material consumption, line stoppages and process deviations.
• Drive root-cause analysis for production and quality issues using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA.
• Prepare and monitor daily production reports, rejection/rework data and key manufacturing KPIs.
• Support new product/process development, line trials and process improvements.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Automobile or Industrial Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in Production/Assembly, preferably in tractor, automotive or auto-component manufacturing.
