Job Summary

THIS IS A MORNING POSITION. THE HOURS ARE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 7AM TO 3PM.

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager (AM) for the Front Desk to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face of our property, ensuring seamless guest experiences from check-in to check-out. Your enthusiasm and exceptional customer service skills will drive positive interactions, uphold our high standards of hospitality, and support the smooth operation of front desk functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead with a proactive approach, manage guest relations, and coordinate with various departments to deliver memorable stays for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
• Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently using property management systems (PMS) such as OPERA or similar platforms.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with a solution-oriented attitude, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate reservations using hospitality management and hotel reservation systems; assist with room assignments and special requests.
• Maintain accurate records of guest information, billing details, and room status updates throughout shifts.
• Oversee night audit procedures, balancing accounts and preparing reports to ensure financial accuracy at day’s end.
• Communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while managing multiple calls professionally.
• Enforce hotel emergency procedures promptly and confidently to ensure guest safety at all times.
• Support guest relations by providing local information, amenities details, and personalized service to enhance their stay.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams to address guest needs swiftly and efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience in hospitality management or front desk operations within a hotel or resort environment.
• Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), especially OPERA or similar platforms used in hotel management.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on problem-solving and client communication.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guest populations effectively.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and night audit processes is preferred.
• Previous experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling guest relations in a fast-paced setting is advantageous.
• Experience in resort settings or luxury hotels will be considered a plus for this role.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
