AM / Manager HR Operations

Hurix Digital is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager HR Operations to manage and support key HR operations and employee lifecycle processes. The role will focus on ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate employee records, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, HR administration, and a seamless employee experience. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in HR operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with employees, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR Operations across the complete employee lifecycle.
• Manage onboarding, employee documentation, confirmation, transfers, exits, F&F coordination and employee service requests.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll, attendance, leave, benefits and contract-workforce administration.
• Manage and coach the HR Operations team with clear accountability, SLAs, backup ownership and performance expectations.
• Drive HRMS adoption, data accuracy and process discipline across HR Operations.
• Identify repetitive activities that can be automated or AI-enabled and lead their implementation.
• Build and maintain strong SOPs, process maps, checklists, escalation matrices and operating controls.
• Track HR Operations performance through dashboards covering headcount, payroll, employee queries, onboarding, exits, BGV, probation and operational backlog.
• Partner with Compliance, Finance, IT and other stakeholders to ensure timely closure of operational requirements.
• Strengthen employee experience by improving turnaround time, communication and HR service delivery.
• Proactively identify operational risks, bottlenecks and dependencies and drive them to closure.
• Ensure critical HR processes are not dependent on a single individual.

Qualifications & Experience

• 6 10 years of experience in HR Operations / People Operations, preferably supporting 500+ employees.
• Strong exposure to employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, HRMS, employee services and HR process management.
• Prior experience managing or leading an HR Operations team.
• Ability to independently create SOPs and translate complex processes into clear operating workflows.
• Strong execution orientation with demonstrated ownership and closure discipline.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of HR controls, compliance and operational risk.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Success in This Role

• Experience with HRMS platforms such as Zoho People, Netsuite
• Practical exposure to AI, workflow automation, HR technology or process automation will be strongly preferred.
• HR Operations runs smoothly without excessive escalation.
• Payroll and critical employee processes close on time.
• Employee queries are resolved within defined SLAs.
• Processes are documented and backed up.
• Manual trackers and repetitive activities progressively reduce.
• HR data becomes more accurate and reliable.
• The team demonstrates stronger ownership and accountability.
• AI and automation become part of everyday HR Operations rather than standalone initiatives.
