Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries.
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Follow established routes using mobile devices and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries while complying with traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, and weight handling in the workplace.
• Document delivery activities accurately via mobile devices, including proof of delivery and any customer feedback or issues encountered during routes.

Skills

• Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous for understanding logistics workflows.
• Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for delivery purposes.
• Experience with delivery driver roles involving manual handling, moving heavy packages, and safe lifting practices.
• Knowledge of route driving techniques combined with adherence to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when required for loading or unloading cargo.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude and effective communication abilities.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
