Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks when necessary
• Follow established routes while adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Use mobile devices for route navigation, package scanning, and communication with dispatch teams
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly and courteously, addressing any questions or concerns professionally
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles regularly, ensuring compliance with safe lifting practices and heavy lifting protocols
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation throughout your shift

Qualifications

• Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving is a plus
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and manual handling techniques
• Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
