Job Description – Project In-Charge & AMC Head

Department: Projects & Operations

Reporting To: GM – Projects & Operations

Salary: Upto 9 lpa (Depending on Interview and Experience)

Experience: 8–15 Years

Domain: Renewable Energy / BESS / SCADA / EMS / Power Systems/PLC

Role Objective

Responsible for end-to-end project execution and AMC operations, ensuring timely project delivery, effective resource utilization, customer satisfaction, SLA compliance, and reliable post-handover operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

• Own projects from kick-off through commissioning, handover, and closure.
• Plan and monitor project schedule, milestones, manpower, materials, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Quality, Finance, and site teams.
• Monitor project progress, risks, costs, scope, and contractual commitments.
• Drive commissioning, testing, punch-point closure, documentation, and final handover.
• Identify additional scope/man-days and coordinate for commercial recovery.

2. AMC Management

• Lead AMC operations across assigned projects/sites.
• Ensure compliance with contractual SLA, uptime, response, and resolution timelines.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manage breakdowns, technical escalations, RCA, and CAPA.
• Monitor AMC performance through KPIs such as uptime, MTTR, MTBF, pending complaints, and PM compliance.
• Drive AMC renewals and identify additional service opportunities.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as key point of contact for project and AMC customers.
• Conduct periodic project/AMC review meetings.
• Manage customer escalations and ensure timely issue closure.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure contractual commitments are met.

4. Resource & Team Management

• Plan manpower requirements for projects and AMC operations.
• Lead Project Managers, Project In-Charges, Commissioning Engineers, and AMC/site teams.
• Optimize manpower deployment across multiple projects.
• Identify resource gaps and coordinate recruitment/deployment.
• Drive team accountability, productivity, and performance.

5. Reporting & Management

• Prepare project and AMC dashboards and periodic management reports.
• Track project schedule, manpower, financials, risks, SLA, and customer issues.
• Escalate critical issues with defined recovery/action plans.
• Ensure proper documentation and transition from project execution to AMC.

Technical Exposure

Working knowledge of SCADA, EMS, BESS, PCS, PLC/RTU, industrial networking, Modbus/communication protocols, renewable energy systems, and power plant control systems is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Engineering or relevant discipline.
• 8–15 years of relevant experience in project execution, commissioning, operations, or AMC.
• Experience in renewable energy, BESS, SCADA/EMS, or power systems preferred.
• Strong client management and team leadership experience.
• PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent certification will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on project and operations leader capable of managing multiple projects/sites, technical escalations, customer expectations, manpower, and commercial requirements while taking complete ownership of project delivery and AMC performance.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
