American Restaurant Service Associate

Job Summary

RedEye Diner is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused American Restaurant Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide a welcoming dining experience. This role involves assisting guests, handling orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining clean dining areas, and working closely with restaurant team members to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist guests with seating, menus, and general dining inquiries.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Assist with preparing, assembling, and serving menu items according to restaurant procedures.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Answer basic questions about menu items and available options.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer payments as assigned.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain an organized dining area.
• Maintain clean and presentable tables, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, and other service supplies.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to support accurate and timely order delivery.
• Communicate guest concerns, special requests, and service issues to supervisors.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods.
• Help maintain consistent service quality and a positive guest experience.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, diner, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
