American Restaurant Service Worker

Job Summary

Midnight Diner is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused American Restaurant Service Worker to support daily restaurant operations and provide a welcoming dining experience. This role involves assisting guests, handling food orders, supporting food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness, and working collaboratively with the restaurant team to ensure efficient and courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Assist with preparing, assembling, and serving American-style restaurant menu items.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as needed.
• Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and presented appropriately.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and assist with basic menu selections.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a neat and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Restock food supplies, beverages, utensils, napkins, containers, and other service items.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate guest concerns, supply needs, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Support efficient teamwork and smooth restaurant operations throughout each shift.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
