American Restaurant Service Worker

Job Summary

Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen Uptown is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused American Restaurant Service Worker to support daily restaurant operations and provide a welcoming dining experience. This role assists with guest service, food and beverage service, order handling, dining area maintenance, and teamwork between front-of-house and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Assist with preparing, assembling, and serving American-style menu items.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and assist with basic menu selections.
• Help guests with seating and communicate wait times when needed.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer payments as assigned.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables between guest visits.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, service stations, counters, and workspaces.
• Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, and other service supplies.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate guest concerns, special requests, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent service quality and an enjoyable guest experience.
• Follow restaurant procedures and customer service standards.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant service procedures.
