American Restaurant Support Worker

Job Summary

Alexander Michael's is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused American Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help maintain a welcoming dining environment. This role supports food preparation, order handling, dining area maintenance, supply restocking, and general restaurant tasks while working closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily restaurant operations and routine service tasks.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as needed.
• Help prepare ingredients and organize supplies for food service.
• Assist with serving food and beverages and ensuring orders are delivered promptly.
• Check orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation.
• Help maintain clean and organized kitchen areas, counters, dining spaces, and service stations.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a neat and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and food preparation equipment as needed.
• Restock ingredients, beverages, condiments, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Store food items and supplies properly according to established guidelines.
• Handle restaurant equipment, food products, and supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate inventory needs, equipment issues, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Help coordinate orders between kitchen staff and service team members.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Support consistent food quality, order accuracy, and service standards.
• Respond courteously to basic guest requests and direct concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Follow restaurant policies and established operating procedures.
• Perform other restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, kitchen, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn food service and restaurant operations.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
