American Restaurant Worker

Job Summary

Maple Street Biscuit Company is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused American Restaurant Worker to support daily restaurant operations and provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role assists with customer service, order taking, food preparation and service, cleanliness, restocking, and teamwork throughout the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with preparing and serving American-style food and beverage items.
• Support food preparation, portioning, packaging, and presentation according to established procedures.
• Deliver completed orders promptly and courteously.
• Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and available options.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a neat and welcoming environment.
• Restock food items, beverages, utensils, napkins, packaging, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house teams during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Communicate customer concerns, special requests, inventory needs, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help organize ingredients, supplies, and workstations for efficient service.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and safely.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers to support smooth daily restaurant operations.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn menu items, food preparation, and restaurant procedures.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
