AML / CDD Officer, Corporate Team

A rapidly growing bank with strong cross-border business is seeking high-calibre candidates to join the Corporate team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 2–4 years’ experience in AML operations to take on end-to-end responsibility for corporate client due diligence and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), periodic reviews and trigger event reviews for corporate/SME clients
• Monitor daily transactions and review AML transaction monitoring alerts for corporate clients
• Perform name screening for AML/CFT and sanctions alerts and document clear dispositions
• Work closely with Relationship Managers to collect customer information and documentation
• Carry out enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers (e.g. PEPs, high-risk jurisdictions)
• Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance and AML/CFT policies and procedures in accordance with HKMA and Group standards
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of all CDD/EDD and monitoring work
• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong AML/CFT regulations (HKMA/SFC/JFIU) and internal policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2–4 years’ relevant experience in AML operations within banking or financial institutions
• Solid knowledge of Hong Kong AML/CFT regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks
• Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua (written and spoken)
• Independent, flexible and analytical with strong problem-solving skills and risk awareness
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Professional AML/CFT credentials (e.g. HKIB AAMLP, CAMS, ICA) are highly preferred but not essential
