AML/CDD Maker - Corporate Banking (6 - 12 months contract)

The Company
We are seeking an experienced AML/KYC Maker to support customer onboarding, periodic reviews, trigger event reviews, and ongoing customer due diligence activities for corporate and personal banking customers.

The Role

• Conduct CDD reviews for new customer onboarding, periodic reviews, trigger events, and enhanced due diligence (EDD) in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Perform KYC screening, sanctions/PEP checks, blacklist searches, and customer risk assessments.
• Review account opening documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with AML/CFT requirements.
• Liaise with frontline teams to collect customer information and resolve due diligence queries.
• Escalate deficiencies, suspicious activities, and compliance issues where appropriate.
• Analyze transaction monitoring results and support investigations when required.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on AML/KYC matters and support junior team members.
• Participate in system enhancement projects, UAT testing, and ad hoc initiatives.

Your Profile

• Degree holder; AML/CFT qualification (e.g. ACAMS, CAMLP, AAMLP, ECF-AML/CFT or equivalent) is preferred.
• 2-3+ years of AML/KYC/CDD experience within the banking industry.
• Hands-on experience in customer onboarding, account opening, periodic review, trigger event review, and client profile maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HKMA AML/CFT requirements, customer risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience handling both personal and corporate customer due diligence reviews.
• Able to work independently with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin is an advantage).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing.
