Lead Analyst - Portfolio accounting

Primary Role

Deliverables include but is not limited to;

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet internal and external client requirements

• Support statutory and management reporting activities as required

• Manage daily Fund Operations activities, including Fund liquidity monitoring, cash flow projections, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

• Prepare and review accounting entries related to Fund operation activities, ensuring alignment with Fund accounting policies and supporting the accuracy of Fund level reporting

• Manage end-to-end Fund loan administration, including drawdowns, repayments, refinancing, interest servicing (i.e interest calculations and payments) and covenant compliance

• Perform and review management fee allocations across Fund Advisors and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and support Fund Advisors in invoice preparation and issuance

• Respond to ad-hoc queries from Fund stakeholders in relation to Fund operations activities

Additional Responsibilities;

• Liaison with finance teams and stakeholders across APAC

• Drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives; contribute to business-as-usual (BAU) transformation effort

• Support new reporting initiatives and participate in system implementation and user acceptance testing

Team and Workload Management

• Manage teams or act as an Individual contributor with focus on effective operational execution, responsible for the short to mid-term operational and tactical team activities

• Define tasks to ensure delivery of services to assigned business partners is in accordance with service level agreements

• Ensure a positive working relationship within the team and with SG office by measuring customer/ employee satisfaction and developing on them

• Support SG AVP/VP in managing human resource planning, selection, development and periodic performance review of your team members

• Act as single point of contact for SG AVP/VP and escalate issues and improvement suggestions when necessary

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Client APAC Finance teams (including Tax, Treasury and Capital Markets team)

• Financial Controllers and Client s Stakeholders

• External lenders and facility agents

  • Consolidation

  • GST & Tax.

• Bachelor s degree in accounting/Finance

• CPA/CA qualified

• Intermediate Excel skills ability to manage large data sets and use intermediate level formulas

• Experience in ERP systems; Workday strongly preferred

• Ability to learn new systems and technology

• Finance transformation project experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal Onboarding

• Assist Account Manager to keep track of deliverables for acquisition support (including review of corporate documents, funding documents, board resolutions, finance related handover documents, etc.)

• Prepare pre-acquisition funds flow through the deal structure

• Prepare working capital schedule and closing cost tracker as part of deal acquisition

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Day to day accounting for allocated entities and deals, which includes the following but not limited to:

  • Bank book transactions and Bank statements reconciliation

  • Supplier invoice review and posting

  • Review of accruals and provisions

• Maintain interest calculation schedules

• Maintain amortization / depreciation schedules

• Perform month-end account closing

• Perform intercompany reconciliations

• Prepare quarterly allocation of fair market valuation for allocated entities and deals

• Prepare quarterly Cash Analysis and NAV Analysis, as part of quarterly valuation deliverables to stakeholder

Deal administration and management

• Provide financial data for preparation of local tax returns (corporate income tax, GST filing)

• Liquidity reporting and analysis

• Provide projected financial data for US Tax reporting and respond to queries from US Tax Agent

• Preparation of capitalision file for funding through the deal structure as per tax and legal requirements

• Preparation of distribution file and assessment of distributable profit and solvency position of the entities, as per tax and legal requirements

• Review legal and corporate documents on capital transactions such as capitalization and distribution and assist Account Manager in keeping track of progress of documents preparation by legal and corporate secretary, through signing of the documents.

• Prepare loan covenant and compliance reports as part of debt reporting compliance

• Prepare loan drawdown documents and loan repayment notices as part of debt management process

Deal Disposition & Liquidation

• Support Account Manager in asset disposition activities such as preparation of funds flow for distribution of disposition proceeds

• Prepare working capital requirements for entities under liquidation

Year-end Reporting Process Audit Process

• Preparation of annual financial statements

• Liaise with external auditors and address audit queries from external auditors

• Provide supporting documents to the external auditors for documents requested

• Preparation of year-end closing of accounts including Period 13 adjustments and true ups

• Keep track of audit progress and finalization and signing of the financial statements

• Checking the accuracy of XBRL submission for Singapore incorporated entities

Other responsibilities

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives on financial reporting processes

• Preparation of SOP for financial reporting processes

• Attending to ad-hoc requests and surveys from regulators

• Ad-hoc project work

DESIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Degree in accounting

• Professional accountancy qualification (CA, ACCA or equivalent)

• Ability to perform under pressure and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements

• Ability to summarize issues, develop recommendations and make decisions

• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
