Analyst-Associate, Exchange Traded Settlement

Role Overview:

As an Exchange Traded Settlement Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely settlement of exchange trades, including HK and overseas equities, futures and options. You will work closely with middle office, custodians, clients / external counterparties and other internal departments to ensure smooth post-trade operations and mitigate operational risk.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trade Settlement & Clearing

• Perform daily settlement and operational support in HK and overseas equities, exchange-traded futures and options.
• Handle CCASS & DCASS operations, securities deposit and withdrawal, IPO/ placement operations, corporate action issues etc.
• Coordinate instructions and communication with upstream custodians, and follow up on outstanding settlements and items with clients andcounterparties.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects, system implementation, UAT and support process improvement initiatives.

2. Corporate Actions

• Handle corporate actions events, identify and resolve exceptions.
• Ensure corporate actions deadlines are fully met to limit any exposures.

3. Operational Control & Reporting

• Perform daily reconciliations and reporting.
• Support month-end and regulatory reporting as needed.

Requirements:

• Degree holder with minimum 1 year of experience in operations, settlement, or middle office, knowledge in futures & options settlement would be a plus.
• Efficient and accurate processing of operational functions with strong sense of accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of VBA, Python, or SQL is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, risk awareness, able to work under pressure andwilling to work shift or overtime.
• Proactive mindset and willing to take ownership.
• Team-focused, being able to take up more responsibilities as needed.
• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin; additional languages are advantageous.
