Analyst Programmer

About the role

We are seeking an Analyst Programmer to join E.C. Fix Technology Limited on a full-time basis. This position is based in Hung Hom, Kowloon City District. As an Analyst Programmer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that drive our business forward. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, translating complex requirements into robust, scalable applications. This position is integral to our technology team and will have a direct impact on the quality and efficiency of our software products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and technical specifications to develop comprehensive software solutions
• Design, develop, and code applications using appropriate programming languages and technologies
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Maintain and update existing software systems, addressing defects and implementing enhancements
• Document code, system architecture, and technical specifications for future reference and knowledge transfer
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Support the deployment and troubleshooting of applications in production environments
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in software development

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 2-5 years of professional experience as a programmer or software developer
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, C++, or similar
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Good communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is desirable
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus
• Experience in software testing and quality assurance is advantageous
