- Conduct full technical audits across current databases to flag, consolidate, or retire duplicate data sources and outdated views
- Build automated testing scripts and validation checks to verify row-level accuracy and metric alignment across all environments
- Update and repoint existing Power BI semantic layers, DAX calculations, and executive dashboards to connect seamlessly to the new architecture
- Map out data lineage, model dependencies, and clear documentation for all transformed datasets
- Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to review core transformation logic and obtain final release approvals

- Practical dbt expertise and comfortable building modular models, defining sources, writing custom macros, and setting up testing frameworks
- End-to-end Power BI skills: Proven experience building semantic models, writing custom DAX measures, and administering workspaces in Power BI Service
- Solid history of managing data model refactoring or migration efforts, specifically auditing data parity between legacy and updated systems
- Self-directed problem solver comfortable tackling open-ended data cleanup efforts and producing thorough technical documentation
