We are looking for an Offshore Tech Lead - Analytics to join our team. Following recent team expansion and project evolution, this role requires a strong developer-focused background to bridge the gap between digital analytics implementation, frontend engineering, data layer architecture, and tag management across web, mobile, and eCommerce platforms.

The successful candidate will lead the technical health of our analytics ecosystem, write hands-on JavaScript, design standardized data layer schemas, troubleshoot complex telemetry, and provide daily technical guidance to analytics engineers and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Frontend & JavaScript Development: Build, review, troubleshoot, and optimize custom JavaScript used for browser-based instrumentation, data layer manipulation, DOM manipulation, and custom event orchestration.

• Tag Management & MarTech Implementation: Lead the setup and technical health of Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and GA4 containers across web, mobile, and server-side integrations (Conversion APIs / Tag Gateway).

• Data Layer Architecture & Standardization: Design, standardize, and govern reusable web and mobile data layer specifications and event schemas across traditional sites, single-page applications (SPAs), and native mobile environments (including Firebase).

• Analytics & Event Engineering: Develop custom JavaScript within tag managers and support Quantum Metric event creation, selectors, session replay, and friction point tracking while enforcing strict PII masking and encryption standards.

• Technical Troubleshooting & Debugging: Use browser developer tools (Console, Network, Breakpoints), tag manager debuggers, and logging to diagnose JavaScript execution, asynchronous processing, payload construction, and API timing issues.

• Technical Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day technical leadership, code reviews, architectural standards, and mentorship to analytics engineers, QA resources, and frontend developers embedded within product teams.

• Cross-Functional Enablement: Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Media, Privacy, and Legal teams to embed tracking, consent management, and data governance into the core software development lifecycle.

• Quality Assurance & Release Validation: Manage the QA lifecycle using validation tools (GA4 DebugView, GTM Preview, Adobe Debugger) to ensure data accuracy and protect telemetry quality across digital releases.

• Governance & Privacy: Ensure all tracking scripts, session-replay tools, and data collection setups adhere to global data privacy laws and consent frameworks (OneTrust, Google Consent Mode).

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in digital analytics implementation, analytics engineering, or frontend development focused on analytics tracking.

• Strong eCommerce Analytics Experience: Proven background in implementing and optimizing tracking for digital retail/eCommerce platforms, checkout flows, conversion funnels, and purchase data layers.

• Hands-on JavaScript Expertise: Deep proficiency in writing, debugging, and optimizing custom JavaScript for web instrumentation, DOM manipulation, and payload construction.

• Tag Management Systems: Strong hands-on experience with enterprise tag managers including Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and GA4.

• Data Layer Design: Direct experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise web and mobile data layers and event schemas.

• Technical Troubleshooting: Mastery of browser developer tools (Network panel, Console, Breakpoints) and platform debuggers to troubleshoot complex analytics issues.

• Programming & Querying: Practical skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation, querying, and advanced analytics workflows.

• Quantum Metric & Session Replay: Experience configuring custom events, transformations, and privacy-compliant data capture in tools like Quantum Metric or Dynatrace.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the telecommunications or large-scale digital retail/eCommerce industries.

• Experience with server-side tagging, Conversion APIs (CAPI), and Tag Gateway setups.

• Hands-on experience with consent management frameworks (OneTrust, Google Consent Mode).

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and AI-driven predictive analytics.
