Android App Developer Intern

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate, tech-savvy, and fast-learning Android App Developer Intern to join our mobile engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for computer science students, recent graduates, or Android enthusiasts who want to build high-quality mobile experiences. You will work closely with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain feature-rich Android applications used by real users.

Key Responsibilities:

• App Development: Assist in designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• UI/UX Implementation: Translate wireframes and user interface designs into smooth, responsive, and intuitive Android layouts using XML or Jetpack Compose.
• API Integration: Help connect mobile applications to back-end services, RESTful APIs, and cloud databases (e.g., Firebase).
• Testing & Optimization: Troubleshoot and debug issues, fix bugs, optimize performance, and ensure compatibility across various Android devices and screen sizes.
• Version Control: Collaborate with the team using Git for code management and version control.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: B.Tech/B.E., BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science/IT), or equivalent technical qualification.
• Technical Skills (Basic/Familiarity):
• Strong foundation in programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts.
• Familiarity with Kotlin (preferred) or Java.
• Basic understanding of Android Studio, Android SDK, and UI frameworks (Jetpack Compose or XML layouts).
• Knowledge of local databases (SQLite, Room) and working with REST APIs/JSON.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git/GitHub.
• Bonus: A GitHub profile, personal projects, or an app published on the Google Play Store is a major plus!
• Soft Skills:
• Genuine enthusiasm for mobile app development and a hunger to learn.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
