Android Developer – Android TV Applications

Job Overview
We are looking for an Android Developer to join our development team and work on Android TV applications. Direct Android TV experience is not required. We are looking for someone with solid Android development fundamentals, strong Jetpack Compose skills, and an interest in learning and working with TV applications and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for TV platforms.
• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Jetpack Compose.
• Develop new features and integrate APIs and backend services.
• Optimize applications for TV screens, remote controls, and D-pad navigation.
• Debug, test, and resolve application issues.
• Explore and integrate AI-powered features where applicable.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and project teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Learn and apply Android TV-specific development practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional Android development experience.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose is required.
• Proficiency in Kotlin.
• Good understanding of the Android SDK and application lifecycle.
• Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git/version control.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Willingness to learn Android TV development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI technologies, AI APIs, or AI-powered applications.
• Experience with Android TV, Google TV, OTT, IPTV, or streaming applications.
• Familiarity with Media3 / ExoPlayer or other media playback frameworks.
• Experience with D-pad and remote-control navigation.
• Familiarity with Firebase or similar development tools.
• Experience optimizing applications for different devices and screen sizes.

Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
