About the role

The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation. You will develop, enhance, and maintain Digital Banking Android applications based on business and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Digital Banking Android applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Deliver project requirements and change requests within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Develop mobile application features using Android Kotlin and Java.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable Android solutions.
• Integrate Android applications with backend services and APIs.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely fixes for production and development environments.
• Work with Oracle databases for application data validation and troubleshooting where required.
• Support application builds, releases, and mobile deployment activities.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, backend developers, DevOps, and other technology teams throughout the development lifecycle.

About you

• 3–5 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android Kotlin.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android Java.
• Good understanding of Android application architecture and development lifecycle.
• Experience with application integration and API consumption.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database.
• Experience working in Linux / Solaris / HPUX environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of software development and release lifecycle.
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
