Android Developer – Kotlin

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Android Developer with 3 years of hands-on experience in Kotlin to join our software development team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in native Android application development, a good understanding of modern Android architecture, and the ability to build high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications while collaborating with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to deliver reliable mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• ⁠ ⁠Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• ⁠ ⁠Build responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance mobile applications.
• ⁠ ⁠Implement modern Android development practices and architecture patterns.
• ⁠ ⁠Integrate REST APIs and third-party services into Android applications.
• ⁠ ⁠Work with backend developers to ensure seamless API integration and data exchange.
• ⁠ ⁠Implement authentication, authorization, local data storage, and secure data handling.
• ⁠ ⁠Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and performance issues.
• ⁠ ⁠Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• ⁠ ⁠Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• ⁠ ⁠Publish application updates and maintain existing applications.
• ⁠ ⁠Stay updated with the latest Android development tools, libraries, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• ⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• ⁠ ⁠Minimum 3 years of professional experience in native Android application development.
• ⁠ ⁠Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• ⁠ ⁠Good understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android application lifecycle.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP communication.
• ⁠ ⁠Knowledge of Android Jetpack components, including ViewModel, LiveData or StateFlow, and Navigation.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous programming.
• ⁠ ⁠Familiarity with MVVM or other suitable Android architecture patterns.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience with Android app debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
• ⁠ ⁠Knowledge of local data storage using Room, SQLite, or DataStore.
• ⁠ ⁠Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• ⁠ ⁠Understanding of Material Design and mobile UI/UX principles.
• ⁠ ⁠Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ⁠ ⁠Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• ⁠ ⁠Familiarity with Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience with Firebase services and push notifications.
• ⁠ ⁠Knowledge of offline-first application development and data synchronization.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience with secure authentication, token management, and mobile application security.
• ⁠ ⁠Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.
