Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement new Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Create well structured, scalable codebases following Clean Architecture, splitting UI/domain/data layers for modularity, testability, and ease of maintenance

• Implement MVVM architecture with ViewModel, StateFlow/UI state, and Repository + Use case patterns

• Adhere to SOLID principles to write clean, extensible, and decoupled code .

• Integrate Dependency Injection (e.g., Hilt or Koin).

• Consume REST APIs with Retrofit ( Flow/Coroutines) and manage local data with Room.

• Ensure proper navigation handling using Jetpack Navigation with Compose.

• Write unit and UI tests using JUnit, Mockk, Robolectric, Turbine, MockWebServer, etc. Use TDD (write tests before implementation) to maintain a testable codebaseParticipate in code reviews, mentor juniors, and collaborate with cross functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience in Kotlin 2+ years using Jetpack Compose for building UIs.

• Strong practice in Clean/Layered Architecture (presentation, domain, data layers) Expert in MVVM, StateFlow, ViewModel, etc.

• Solid knowledge of SOLID and object oriented design .

• Experience with DI frameworks: Hilt or Koin.

• Skilled in RESTful networking using Retrofit, JSON parsing.

• Local persistence using Room or DataStore.

• Proficient in unit and integration testing with JUnit, Mockk, Turbine, MockWebServer, etc. Strong understanding of Coroutines and Kotlin Flows Familiarity with TDD and test-first mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with Paging 3, WorkManager, Compose Navigation, and architectural patterns like MVI.

• Exposure to Cross platform Kotlin/Compose Multiplatform UI.

• Experience with code linting (Ktlint, Detekt) and static analysis tools
