Android Engineer

We build mobile applications that transform the digital experience of maib customers!

As an Android Engineer , you will contribute to the development of the maibank application, playing a direct role in shaping the digital experience of our customers.

Your responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and maintenance of the maibank application;
• Contribute to the implementation of new CEP/CDP-related features and components, including dynamic widgets, personalized banners, targeted push notifications, stories, and more;
• Ensure code quality and apply modern Android development best practices;
• Develop and maintain automated tests for mobile applications;
• Ensure a high level of performance, quality, and user experience (UX);
• Identify, test, and resolve bugs and performance issues;
• Participate in CI/CD processes and integrate releases into the bank’s DevOps pipeline;
• Support the refactoring of software components to maintain scalability, maintainability, and code clarity;
• Take a responsible and proactive approach to problem-solving.

What makes you a great fit:

• 3–5 years of experience in Android application development;
• Strong knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin;
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles;
• Experience with Android Studio, Android SDKs, and Android UI/UX design principles;
• Experience with modern Android architectures such as MVVM and MVI;
• Knowledge of multithreading, including Kotlin Coroutines;
• Experience with Jetpack Compose;
• Understanding of Design Patterns and software engineering principles such as SOLID, KISS, and DRY;
• Experience with Dagger 2 for dependency injection;
• Experience with mobile CI/CD practices;
• Strong knowledge of Git;
• A responsible mindset, strong focus on quality, and a continuous learning attitude.
