What they need

About Carv Carv is on a mission to unlock the enjoyment of better skiing. We use AI, real-time feedback, and sensor-driven data to help skiers improve their technique like never before. Our team is building cutting-edge software that bridges the gap between technology and human performance.

We’re looking for a product-minded, inquisitive and inventive Android engineer to drive the development of our Android app, crafting an experience that feels seamless, powerful, and intuitive.

If you love building products that push the limits of what’s possible on mobile, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and ship features across the Android app, from UI to data layer
  • Work closely with designers and product managers to create intuitive, high-performance interfaces
  • Contribute to real-time coaching features powered by AI and sensor data, and test these on the ski slope
  • Learn from and contribute to architectural decisions alongside senior engineers
  • Keep up with Android advancements and help us adopt new best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • A passionate skier, beginner skiers welcome
  • Experience shipping production Android apps, with examples you're proud of
  • Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Relentless bias for action
  • Comfortable in a small team where scope is broad and priorities move quickly

Why Join Carv?

  • Work on a game-changing product that combines AI, biomechanics, and coaching
  • Autonomy and impact—you’ll be a key player in shaping the future of digital sports training

Logistics

  • In the office: 3 days per week on average
  • Relocation: We offer relocation assistance based on your circumstances
  • Core business hours: 8am–4pm Mountain Time
  • Flexibility and workload: You may occasionally need to work later depending on business needs, and busy periods may require early calls (around 7am) for UK overlap. Outside of that, we trust you to manage your own working times. On average we work ~50 hours per week.

Benefits

  • Life outside work: We're happy to flex around your daily life (e.g. childcare), and we actively encourage getting out to ski for an hour during the day if you can fit it around meetings and make the time up
  • Healthcare cover
  • 401(k): 3% automatic contribution, plus 50% match on next 2%
  • Paid time off: 15 days PTO per year, plus 7 federal holidays
  • Ski perks: A full season pass, plus an annual company offsite — a week's skiing in Europe with the team
