Android/Python Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer with experience in Android/Flutter mobile development and Python scripting to join our dynamic technology team. Proficiency in both Android/Flutter and Python are mandatory for this role. In this role, you will develop high-quality, user-friendly Android and Flutter applications, build Python scripts for automation and data processing, and support GIS-based solutions. You should be able to deliver clean, functional code, collaborate across teams, and stay up to date with the latest mobile and software technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build functional, user-friendly Android and Flutter mobile applications.
• Write clean and efficient code for Android applications using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Flutter/Dart.
• Monitor the performance of live apps and optimize them at the code level.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, rectify bugs, and enhance overall application performance.
• Perform unit and instrumentation tests on code to maintain quality standards.
• Write clean, scalable Python scripts for process automation, data integration, and scripting tasks.
• Integrate and automate various workflows using Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, web scraping, etc.).
• Test, deploy, revise, update, and debug Python scripts and mobile applications.
• Integrate REST/SOAP APIs and work with data formats like JSON and GeoJSON in mobile and backend contexts.
• Work with location-based services, GIS map interfaces, and offline storage/data collection features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
• Stay up-to-date with new mobile technology trends, frameworks, and protocols.

Requirements

Key Requirements

• MCA / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience of 1 to 3 years in Android development and Python scripting hands-on proficiency in BOTH is mandatory.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android NDK, Flutter/Dart.
• Mandatory: Good understanding of Python and related libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and web scraping tools.
• Proven work experience with mobile architecture design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or MVP.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to effectively integrate Android and Flutter applications.
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases; experience in handling spatial databases is a plus.
• Experience with offline storage/data collection, threading, and performance tuning.
• Experience in publishing applications on the Google Play Store.
• Mobile app development certified resources will be preferred.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with various testing tools and frameworks.
