Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels accordingly during procedures, utilizing advanced medical imaging and monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive anesthesia and pain management plans.
• Conduct preoperative assessments, including reviewing medical histories and evaluating patient health status to determine appropriate anesthesia strategies.
• Manage airway control and ventilation support during procedures, utilizing airway management techniques and equipment.
• Provide post-operative care by monitoring recovery from anesthesia, managing pain relief plans, and addressing any complications promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation of anesthesia administration, patient responses, and procedural notes in electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Epic or EMR/EHR platforms.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of anesthesiology practices, including perioperative care, pain medicine, and critical care experience.
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for surgical procedures. Specialties include spine, orthopedics, general, pain management, plastics/cosmetic, hand, podiatry, ocular plastics, and vascular.
• Strong understanding of medical imaging techniques relevant to anesthesiology and diagnostic radiology.
• Ability to interpret healthcare diagnosis reports across specialties such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, gastroenterology, dermatology, pulmonology, pediatrics, otolaryngology, orthopedics, pathology, radiology, urology, endocrinology, immunology, infectious disease care, and more.
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety, comfort, and effective communication.
• Experience with airway management tools and techniques for various patient populations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
• Prior post-residency experience in anesthesiology or related fields such as neurocritical care or interventional radiology is highly desirable.

Schedule

• PRN Monday - Saturday typically 6:30AM to midafternoon - can go later depending on cases and schedule.
