About The Role ELITS Canada is looking for an experienced Angular Frontend Developer for a consulting assignment based in Ottawa or Montreal .

In this role, you will build and maintain modern frontend applications with a strong focus on Angular , reusable user interface components, application quality, and close collaboration with cross functional teams. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, take ownership of delivery, and contribute to a modern engineering environment where AI assisted development is becoming an important part of daily work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend features using Angular, with a focus on clean, reusable, and maintainable user interface components.
• Build and enhance applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST (Representational State Transfer), application programming interfaces and OpenAPI based services.
• Contribute to automated testing and help ensure code changes successfully pass continuous integration and continuous delivery, CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage Node Package Manager (npm), dependencies, including maintenance, version control, and security related updates.
• Collaborate closely with user experience, backend, quality assurance, and other engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support a modern development workflow by contributing to troubleshooting, code quality, continuous improvement, and practical use of AI assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong hands on experience with Angular and TypeScript in modern frontend development environments.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with the ability to build responsive and maintainable user interfaces.
• Experience working with REST application programming interfaces, OpenAPI based services, and modern frontend development practices.
• Familiarity with automated testing, preferably with Playwright, and good understanding of Git, npm, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, take ownership of assigned work, and collaborate well with cross functional teams.
• Experience with AI coding agents, command line interface based artificial intelligence tools, Model Context Protocol, (MCP), integrations, user experience design, Figma, design systems, accessibility, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, or telecom environments is considered an asset.
