Port Hope Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Servies is seeking a new Animal Care Assistant to join our team!

Our emergency clinic and wellness hospital services all animals in need. We have a large modern facility with all amenities including in house lab, dental, ultrasound, emergency services and companion wellness appointments.

We strive to be a friendly relaxed workspace, where people are comfortable and appreciated for their contribution to our team. Staff have access to relaxation room, full kitchen and more.

Our ideal candidate will have a warm welcoming attitude and ability to work with animals of all different sizes and demeanor.

This role will work with our Wellness team.

Responsibilities include(not limited to):

• Assisting Vet Techs
• Assisting with animal restraint
• Working with dogs and cats of different sizes and demeanors.
• Animal care as needed(nail clipping, bathing, ear cleaning etc.)
• Dog walking
• Provide fresh food and water for animals daily
• Cleaning and basic house duties
