Animal Handler

About the role

This is a veterinary hospital support role providing comprehensive assistance across clinical, operational, and administrative functions. The position includes both day-to-day support and graveyard shift floating assistant duties, with a focus on animal handling, client service, and patient care coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist all clients upon arrival at the hospital, providing compassionate and courteous service
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures by preparing equipment, handling instruments, and providing additional support
• Safely restrain and handle animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety while minimizing stress
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the hospital, including examination rooms, surgical suites, and common areas
• Assist doctors and staff with patient care, administrative tasks, and emergency response to ensure smooth hospital operations
• Support inventory management including restocking supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with inventory audits
• Serve as a floating assistant during the graveyard shift, primarily supporting nurses while remaining available to assist doctors
• Assist with patient transportation, ensuring safety and comfort during transit
• Operate hospital vehicles to provide patient transportation services if holding a valid driver's license, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic regulations
• Assist doctors during home service cases by helping with patient handling and equipment preparation

About you

• Valid driver's license required to operate hospital vehicles for patient transportation
• Ability to safely restrain and handle animals
• Capability to work graveyard shift as a floating assistant
