AOI & Vision

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with expertise in Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), machine vision, and industrial communication protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, integrating, and troubleshooting vision-guided robotic systems for manufacturing automation and quality inspection applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and machine vision applications for high-speed, high-precision automated equipment.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Control and Electrical Engineers to define system requirements and develop integrated automation solutions.
• Set up, configure, calibrate and optimize machine vision systems including cameras, lenses, lighting and image processing software.
• Evaluate and establish vision system performance specifications to ensure inspection accuracy, reliability and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine vision and AOI-related issues including providing on-site technical support during installation, commissioning and production ramp-up.
• Integrate machine vision systems with industrial automation equipment including PLCs, sensors, motors, robotics and industrial communication networks.
• Develop and maintain application software using programming languages and platforms such as C++, C#, Python, LabVIEW, or Java.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve inspection performance, system stability and overall equipment efficiency.
• Provide technical support at customer sites including overseas travel as required by project needs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant programming experience, preferably in non-standard automation equipment, AOI, or machine vision applications.
• Hands-on experience in machine vision system development, camera and lighting selection, image processing, inspection algorithms and system integration.
• Good knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, motors, robotics and industrial networking.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in the new energy or photovoltaic industry is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel overseas when required by project assignments.
