Aorere College English Trainee Teacher 2027

Have you considered training to be an English teacher in a Secondary School?

Aorere College is looking to appoint a school based English Trainee Teacher. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, youth focused person who will enjoy working in a secondary school environment.
Requirements for this position are as follows:

• You must have an English subject based degree or qualification
• You will be based at Aorere College for your training

Training: There are two approaches to the training provided

1. One Year of Training:  A scholarship which covers University fees, provides a small stipend while you work alongside a mentor.
2. As for the first above but, this approach gives the trainee a chance to be paid to teach some classes on a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT).

• This position will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2027.

• You must be a New Zealand Citizen or have New Zealand residency to be eligible for this position.
