About the role

This role involves managing accounts payable (AP) functions, including document verification, invoice processing, payment preparation, and financial reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Verify documents before payment and check invoices from suppliers
• Compare invoices with purchase orders (PO) and goods receipt notes (GRN)
• Verify payment terms and accuracy of amounts
• Record accounts payable entries and purchase transactions in the accounting system
• Categorise payables by company and service provider
• Prepare payments and payment vouchers
• Prepare cheques, transfers, and internet banking transactions
• Plan payment schedules according to due dates
• Monitor cash flow, prioritise payments, and coordinate with the finance department on cash flow matters
• Calculate and remit withholding tax (WHT) and prepare WHT certificates for submission to the revenue department

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) or Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
• Ability to prepare VAT and withholding tax (WHT)
• Proficiency with accounting software (such as SAP or similar)
• Meticulous and highly responsible
• Honest and able to maintain financial confidentiality
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop professionally
