Position

AP Physics C Tutor (Online, Part-Time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and reliable AP Physics C Tutor to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate is passionate about physics and mathematics, familiar with the AP Physics C curriculum, and committed to helping students develop strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills while preparing them for success on the AP Physics C exams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-on-one or small-group online lessons via Google Meet or Zoom.
• Teach the AP Physics C curriculum in alignment with the College Board framework, including Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism.
• Help students develop a strong understanding of physics concepts and their mathematical applications using calculus-based methods.
• Guide students in solving complex physics problems involving mechanics, energy, momentum, rotation, gravitation, electrostatics, circuits, magnetic fields, and electromagnetism.
• Strengthen students' ability to set up equations, interpret physical situations, analyze graphs, and communicate solutions using appropriate mathematical reasoning.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and practice exercises tailored to students' learning needs.
• Assign and review homework, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Support students with AP exam preparation through quizzes, multiple-choice practice, free-response questions (FRQs), mock exams, and effective test-taking strategies.
• Track student progress and communicate regularly with academic coordinators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP Physics C is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the AP Physics C curriculum and College Board exam requirements.
• Strong calculus and mathematical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Experience with online teaching platforms such as Google Meet or Zoom.
• Patient, organized, dependable, and passionate about teaching.
• Teaching certification is an asset but not required.

Job Details

• Job Type: Part-Time / Contract
• Contract Period: September to the end of April
• Work Location: Remote
• Minimum Weekly Commitment: 2–4 hours per week (hours may vary depending on the number of classes assigned)
• Schedule: Flexible (Evenings and weekends preferred)
• Compensation: CAD $35–$55 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
