AP Support - Freight forwarding (WFH)

About the role

The Delivery People is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented AP Support team member to assist the AP Supervisor with day-to-day accounts payable functions. This role supports the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and reconciliations related to freight forwarding and logistics services. The ideal candidate has industry experience and understands how vendor charges relate to transportation activities. Strong Excel skills are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the AP Supervisor with invoice entry, processing, and approvals
• Verify vendor charges against shipment and service records
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
• Maintain organized digital records of invoices and payment documentation
• Support weekly and monthly reconciliation processes
• Use Excel to filter, organize, and analyze AP data (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with preparation for audits or financial reviews as needed

About you

• 1–2 years of accounts payable or billing support experience
• Preferred: Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation
• Familiarity with vendor billing practices (e.g., fuel, drayage, accessorials)
• Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel (pivot tables, filtering, formulas)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
