Apache Camel / Java Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel.
• Develop robust Java applications using Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services.
• Configure and manage Camel routes, processors, error handling, and transformation logic.
• Work with messaging technologies such as JMS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Prepare technical documentation and support production deployments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong experience in Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Hands-on experience with Apache Camel and Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIPs).
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, XSLT, and data transformation.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Good understanding of SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with messaging technologies (JMS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
